Gone Running?

I spent the weekend back in Iowa. Believing the weather man I left my bike at home, but brought all my cold weather running gear. True to form the temps soared up to 73. You would think after all these years of using online radars and weather reports that I would be smarter, but I guess not. I got a couple long runs in for around 15 miles not that long but considering it was all gravel and hills not to bad. I have been running for about 15 years which always surprises people, but I like not being a one trick pony, it gives me some variety and in the end I think it makes me faster. I can definitely say that if you are racing single you should incorporate some running as you will pass most folks when you are running up the hills and they are struggling to pedal them.

tendonitis in both knees equals no pave pounding for me, but as it gets better and better I've been doing some trail runs this winter at the local school forest

I couldn't agree more about the running. You can always tell the guys in 'cross that don't run too.
