Leaving Van Dessel

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that I will not be riding for Van Dessel any longer. With what seemed like an even heavier hand I picked up the phone a couple of hours ago and called Edwin Bull owner of Van Dessel Cycles to tell him both thanks for a wonderful season and 2 years of partnership, but that I would not be able to continue with them in 09. I was approached by GT earlier this year to see if I would be interested in riding with them, I replied that the only way I would leave VDS is if they came at me with an offer I couldn't refuse and at the conclusion of this season they did just that. This was a really tough decision to make as the guys over at VDS have been great to me. They have taken great care in getting me everything I needed and then some, but GT simply came at me with everything short of the kitchen sink. GT is also located here in Madison and we do a lot of business with them, so as a business owner it made my decision much more clear. With that said, I can now announce that I will be racing for the GT National Team in 09. Details are forth coming and as soon as I get the green light you can get all the details right here. Thanks again to Edwin and all the guys at Van Dessel for a great 2 years.

Congrats on the move. You have a lot to bring to the table and always enjoy competing with you and with my move to Team Evomo exclusively for 2009 it looks like the midwest is getting some love.
