Hellafaster in Iowa

Got my Hellafaster on Friday. I stayed up late putting it together then took it with me the next day to Iowa. I spent the weekend visiting with my folks and catching up with old friends. Sunday morning I got a great 2.5 hour ride in with my buddy Bruce Nelson. He redefines tough nut, just in case you think YOUR tough he builds houses all day then goes for death march rides. He has recently gotten into doing 100 mile mtb races on a fixed gear because apparently just doing it on his single wasn't hard enough. His goal this summer is to break the 9 hour mark at the Leadville 100 and oh yeah, he is 52. It was great to be out on the road again, after riding fat tires for the last few months it felt totally effortless. More to come on the Hellafaster, but so far I'm surprised how well it covers all the bases. It is really comfortable, tracks well and is scary responsive when you stomp on the pedals out of a corner. I wanted one bike that I could use for road races, crits, and time trials and I think I have it.

I may be adding a Hellafaster to my stable next year. Although the Country Road Bob has my eye also.
